2025 Annual Report
The BPSF is off to a great start and it is because of generous donors like you!
Not long after Coach Bobby Plummer passed away on December 4, 2024, his children– Troy, Terry, Elizabeth, and Christie – expressed an interest in making a memorial contribution to the Sharpstown High School athletic program. After discussions with SHS principal TJ Cotter and athletic coordinator Carlos Quintero, the family and a number of Coach Plummer’s former student-athletes set out to establish a scholarship fund in Coach Plummer’s honor.
The first public promotion of the Bobby Plummer Scholarship Fund (BPSF) was after his celebration of life service at St. Luke’s United Methodist Church Gethsemane on Saturday, December 28. The initial contribution was made five days earlier.
Thus far, 51 donors have contributed a total of $15,617 to the fund, with some persons contributing multiple times.
Matt Gaston (SHS Class of 1977), Matt Rogers (’77), Elizabeth Plummer (’80) and Christie Dorman (’97) serve the BPSF as president, vice-president, secretary, and treasurer, respectively. Most recently, Janet Pinner (‘77) has joined the BPSF as Operation/Special Projects. Board members include Troy Plummer (‘77), Terry Derner (‘79), Elizabeth, Christie, and Matt Rogers.
