Mayra Blanco, Jessica Cantu, and Da’Andra Williams are announced as the inaugural Bobby Plummer Scholarship winners ($2,500 each).

The BPSF application period closes.

The “Push-Ups for Plummer” fitness fundraising challenge, issued by 1977 Sharpstown graduate Nick Arizaga, is widely promoted on Facebook and Instagram. Overall, almost 20,000 unique viewers are engaged.

February 5, 2026

Junior center Kaliss Johnson is named the second winner of the Bobby Plummer Trench Boss Award at the annual Sharpstown football banquet.

January 19, 2026

The BPSF application period opens for senior student-athletes and support staff members.

December 11, 2025

Matt Rogers and Janet Pinner represent the BPSF at Sharpstown’s December senior class meeting; during their presentation, the two educate student-athletes and support personnel about the fund’s 2026 scholarship opportunities.

November 4, 2025

Matt Rogers attends College Day at Sharpstown, which includes members of the senior and junior classes. He shares information about the BPSF with approximately 80 students.

October 23, 2025

Coach Bobby Plummer joins Luke Prestridge (football-basketball-baseball), Tracey Kennedy (basketball-volleyball), Greg Swindell (baseball) and Coach Dick Janse in Sharpstown’s inaugural Athletics Pantheon of Honor Class.

The BPSF provides SHS with an eight-page event program keepsake for all guests in attendance.

September 12, 2025

Elizabeth Plummer completes and submits the BPSF’s application to the Houston Texans Inspire Change Grant Fund for 2025-26.

June 25, 2025

With video messaging by 1977 Sharpstown football captain Jay Harris, the BPSF launches a four-day Facebook fundraising campaign focusing on the Sharpstown community and eight contiguous zip code zones.

In recognition of his distinguished playing career as a two-way tackle and decades-long tutoring of linemen, the Sharpstown Football program confers the first annual Bobby Plummer Trench Boss Award. The recipient is sophomore all-district offensive left tackle Damian Olvera.

 Using the BPSF Facebook page as a historical tool, a comprehensive depiction of the helmets utilized by Sharpstown football players during Coach Plummer’s 28 years as head coach is presented
