•The BPSF will award three scholarships at $2,500 each.

•Scholarship awards will be paid to the bursar’s office of the recipient’s university, college, or school upon confirmation of student registration.

•Scholars should plan to enroll in their next-level studies during the academic year following high school graduation (2026-27).

•Enrollment in a postsecondary education or vocational training program without exclusively online or distance learning is required.

Applicant Requirements:

• Furnish proof of participation in Sharpstown High School interscholastic athletics as a player, manager, trainer, or videographer during his/her junior and senior years.

• Complete the online application (LINK TO COME)

• Submit a 300 word-essay covering his/her current circumstances, motivation for next steps in postsecondary education or vocational training, scholarship need, and future goals.

• Provide three evaluations of character: one from a coach, one from a teacher, and one from another adult not including a family member. Examples include community leaders, faith leaders, work supervisors, other teachers, and administrators.

• Supply a transcript of his/her high school academic record.

• Enroll in a postsecondary education or vocational training program without exclusively online or distance learning.

• Plan to enroll in their next-level studies during the academic year following high school graduation.

• Be a permanent resident or U.S. citizen.

• Submit a photo with permission to utilize the image for program promotion (announcement, website, social media).
